Colorado Valley Quilt Guild presents "Lucky Stars" to Saint Mark's Medical Center Foundation Vice-President Linda Morrison. Each year, CVQG donates a quilt as a fundraiser to our local hospital.
This year, Jackie organized efforts to make this beautiful 30s style quilt from a pattern by Atkinson Designs. The quilt will be auctioned at the Foundation's annual fund raiser October 24 at the KC Hall in La Grange.

Be on the look-out for some Big, Bold Baskets from the Dot Collins Workshop participants last month. Dot taught the group how to turn striped fabric into a woven basket and then fill that basket with flowers – either strip piecing them or really filling the basket with broderie persed flowers.
The class then learned techniques for strip piecing 4 fabrics to form triangles that bordered that big basket of flowers. Workshop participants were Jackie Asbill, Brenda Camp, Dianna Foster, Jo Ann Gore, Kristi Grigsby, Debbie Higgins, Wanda Hubbard, Jo Knox, and Kay Marburger.
