March: Mary Evelyn Sorrell – “Documenting Your Quilt Collection”

Mary Evelyn is an art consultant, antiques collections manager, former director of Winedale Historical Complex, the Holter Art Museum(Montana), Bridge Center for Contemporary Art in El Paso, and Lawndale Art & Performance Center in Houston.

She has a BFA in Photography from the University of Houston and a Master's degree in Nonfiction Writing from UCS - LA. She has been an art curator for 25 years in museums and nonprofit galleries in Texas, California, Wisconsin, and Montana. She is also on the Registrar's Committee of the Association of American Museums and co-Vice President of the National Alliance for American Quilts. She will be speaking on proper documentation of your collections and quilt preservation.
